Ingredients:
- 1.5 cups all-purpose flour (maida)
- 1/2 tin condensed milk (Milkmaid)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup cream (malai)
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit). Grease and flour a cake pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, pour out the condensed milk (Milkmaid).
- Add milk and powdered sugar to the condensed milk and begin beating with a hand mixer until well combined.
- Sift in the all-purpose flour (maida), baking powder, and baking soda into the wet mixture.
- Continue to blend until you have a smooth batter.
- Add the cream (malai) and lemon juice to the batter.
- Mix well until all the ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Check the consistency of the batter. It should be thick but pourable. If it’s too thick, add a little more milk to adjust.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, transfer the cake to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, slice and serve your delicious Milkmaid Cake!
