Ingredients:
- Main:
- 1 cup Boiled rice
- 2 tbsp Milk
- 1/2 cup Curd (yogurt)
- Seasonings:
- 1/4 tsp Black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 tsp Red chili powder
- 2-3 Roasted cashews
- For Tadka (Tempering):
- 1 tsp Rai (mustard seeds)
- 1 tbsp Chana dal (soaked)
- 4-5 Curry leaves
Instructions:
- Prepare the Rice:
- Cook the rice until soft and let it cool slightly.
- Mix with Dairy:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the boiled rice with milk and curd. Adjust the amount of curd and milk to achieve a creamy consistency.
- Seasoning:
- Add salt, black pepper, and red chili to taste. Mix well.
- Tadka (Tempering):
- Heat a small amount of oil in a pan.
- Add rai (mustard seeds) and let them splutter.
- Add soaked chana dal and fry until golden brown.
- Add curry leaves and sauté briefly.
- Combine:
- Pour the tadka over the curd rice mixture.
- Mix gently to ensure the tadka is evenly distributed.
- Garnish:
- Top with roasted cashews.
- Serve:
- Serve the curd rice chilled or at room temperature.
