Bread Samosas

Ingredients for the Samosa Filling:

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup boiled peas
  • 2-3 boiled potatoes, mashed
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1-2 tsp aamchur (dry mango powder)
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Filling:
    • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
    • Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
    • Add ginger and green chilies, sauté for a minute.
    • Add boiled peas and mashed potatoes. Mix well.
    • Add red chili powder, aamchur, cumin powder, coriander powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined.
    • Stir in fresh coriander. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  2. Assemble the Samosas:
    • Take slices of bread and cut off the crusts.
    • Roll the bread slices thinly using a rolling pin.
    • Place a spoonful of the filling on each bread slice and fold to form a cone shape. Seal the edges with a little water.
  3. Cook the Samosas:
    • Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (350°F).
    • Air fry the bread samosas for 8-12 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Alternatively, you can bake them in the oven at the same temperature.
