Black Chana Chaat Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups boiled black chana (black chickpeas)
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • 1 cucumber, diced
  • 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh coriander (cilantro), chopped
  • 1 teaspoon chaat masala

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:
    • If not already done, boil the black chana until tender and drain them.
    • Finely chop the onion.
    • Dice the tomato and cucumber into small pieces.
    • Chop the fresh coriander.
  2. Mix the Chaat:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the boiled black chana, finely chopped onion, diced tomato, and diced cucumber.
  3. Add the Seasonings:
    • Add salt, black pepper, and chaat masala to the bowl.
    • Drizzle the lime juice over the mixture.
  4. Toss the Chaat:
    • Gently toss all the ingredients together until they are evenly coated with the seasonings and lime juice.
  5. Add Fresh Coriander:
    • Sprinkle the chopped coriander over the chaat and give it one final toss.
  6. Serve:
    • Serve immediately for the best flavor and freshness.
